Dine-Around Meal Plan
A dine-around plan is a meal-plan tier, not a stand-alone activity — it's the level above Half Board or Full Board where the daily meal allowance follows the guest to more than one restaurant instead of pinning them to a single buffet venue. Amilla Maldives' version, for instance, opens dine-around access across all seven of its restaurant venues. It's chosen at booking, alongside the villa category, not arranged once on island.
How far it actually stretches varies a lot resort to resort, and the fine print is where the real difference sits. SAii Lagoon Maldives runs one of the widest versions, spanning up to twelve restaurants across the resort and its connected Crossroads Maldives island group. Most properties draw a line somewhere: You & Me Maldives' dine-around covers any à la carte restaurant except H2O, its underwater venue, and LUX* South Ari Atoll excludes two signature restaurants from its base tier, crediting one complimentary dinner at each only on the higher plan. Others gate fine dining by length of stay instead — Atmosphere Kanifushi adds one complimentary fine-dining visit on stays of four nights or more, a second at ten, while OBLU SELECT Lobigili's Lobi Plan rotates one complimentary specialty visit in every four nights.
None of this is guesswork once you're comparing actual quotes, but it's worth asking early which specific venues, credits or night-count rules apply to a given plan, since 'dine-around' on a brochure can mean something quite different in practice from one resort to the next.

What is a dine-around meal plan in the Maldives?
It's a meal-plan tier — usually the top of a resort's Half Board / Full Board / all-inclusive ladder — that lets guests take meals at several of the resort's restaurants instead of being assigned to one fixed buffet venue. It's selected when the room is booked, as part of the meal plan, not something you add once you arrive.

Are all of a resort's restaurants included in a dine-around plan?
Not always, and it's worth checking venue by venue. It's common for a resort's most exclusive restaurant to sit outside the dine-around list, or to be capped by a credit or a per-stay allowance rather than included unlimited — You & Me Maldives excludes its underwater restaurant from the plan, and LUX* South Ari Atoll excludes two of its signature venues from the base tier.
