Kudadoo Maldives Private Island

An all-inclusive private island of just fifteen residences, where a 24-hour butler arranges dining, diving and excursions to no fixed script — adults-only unless taken whole.

Kudadoo occupies its own reef-ringed island in Lhaviyani Atoll, a 40-minute seaplane flight from Malé, with only fifteen overwater residences and nothing itemised once you arrive. A 24-hour butler arranges meals, dive trips and excursions to Dream Island as they're wanted; dining runs across five unscripted venues, including the 5.8 Undersea Restaurant at neighbouring Hurawalhi, and the island generates its own power from a solar roof.

The privacy-first couple

Fifteen residences on a private island, a butler instead of a front desk, and nothing before check-out that needs deciding twice — Kudadoo is built for guests who came to disappear together.

The diver

A private Luxury Dive Dhoni, rebreathers for certified divers, and Lhaviyani Atoll's channel shark dives on the doorstep — this is a resort built around the reef as much as the residence.

The full-buyout group

Weddings, family reunions and multi-generational trips take the island whole — the only booking that opens Kudadoo to children, and the one that puts all fifteen residences under one group's name.

Before you book

How do we get to Kudadoo, and how long is the transfer?

Kudadoo is a 40-minute scenic seaplane flight direct from Velana International Airport. Kudadoo's own airport team meets you after immigration and customs and drives you by private air-conditioned vehicle to the seaplane terminal, where the Kudadoo Lounge is open on both arrival and departure.

What's actually included in the rate?

Kudadoo runs on an all-inclusive, "anything, anytime, anywhere" basis — a 24-hour butler arranges dining across five venues, in-residence meals, and most on-island experiences on request, with no set menus to work from. The 5.8 Undersea Restaurant and the Wine Cellar are the two named exceptions, both at additional cost.

Is Kudadoo suitable for children?

Kudadoo is adults-only, 15 and over, for standard bookings. Children are welcome only when the entire island is taken as a full exclusive buyout, which is also how the resort handles weddings and family or corporate gatherings that want the island to themselves.

How is the house reef and diving here?

The island sits inside its own lagoon with a house reef, and Lhaviyani Atoll is known locally for channel shark dives. Kudadoo runs private dives from its own Luxury Dive Dhoni, with rebreathers available for certified divers and a resident marine biologist leading guided snorkelling and Manta Trust–affiliated manta-ray and turtle excursions by speedboat.

What are the villas like, and how many are there?

All fifteen residences are overwater Ocean Residences — thirteen one-bedroom at 300 square metres and two two-bedroom at 380 square metres — each with its own 44-square-metre infinity pool, a Bang & Olufsen sound system, and an IPTV set-up with Netflix and Spotify. A handful of additional villas house accompanying staff and aren't counted in the fifteen guest residences.

Does Kudadoo really run on solar power?

Yes — the island is fully self-sustained by solar power generated from the sloped roof of The Retreat, the resort's main building, which doubles as its power source.
