How do we get to Baglioni Maldives, and how long does it take?
Baglioni sits on Maagau Island in Dhaalu Atoll, reached by a roughly forty-five-minute seaplane flight with Trans Maldivian Airways from Velana International Airport. Between flights, guests have access to the Infinity VIP Lounge at the Noovilu Seaplane Terminal. Inbound flights need to land between 6am and 3:30pm, so IMJ times international connections around that window rather than the other way round.
What are the baggage limits on the seaplane transfer?
The allowance is 25kg checked and 5kg hand baggage per guest, with hand luggage capped at 3kg for the cabin. IMJ checks these limits against each guest's international allowance before travel, since seaplane weight limits run stricter than most long-haul carriers'.
Is the resort genuinely all-inclusive?
Yes — Baglioni markets itself as a luxury all-inclusive resort, the only one in the Baglioni Collection. The daily buffet at Taste, along with the resort's broader dining and drinks programme, sits inside the plan; a handful of experiences such as the Floating Breakfast, Beach Picnic and Private Dinner on the Beach are paid extras that IMJ can add to an itinerary.
How good is the house reef, and is snorkelling included?
House reef snorkelling is complimentary and needs no boat — gear is provided and the reef is reachable straight off the beach. For anything further out, the resort also runs a Whale Shark Excursion into Dhaalu Atoll and Discover Scuba Diving sessions for first-time divers.
What is there for children?
The Baglioni Kids Club takes children from three to fifteen, with sport, arts and crafts, pool and beach games and a nature-focused programme. There is a PADI Bubblemaker session for younger children who want to try diving in water no deeper than two metres, plus a dedicated Junior Spa track at Aura Spa.
Which villas suit a family or two families travelling together?
The Two Bedroom Family Beach Villa with Pool and the larger Two Bedroom Beach Suite with Pool both put two bedrooms under one roof with a private pool on the terrace, and the Grand Baglioni Maldives Villa's three bedrooms work well for a full multi-generational buyout. IMJ matches the specific category to how independent each family wants to be.
