Before you book

How do guests get to COMO Maalifushi, and how long does the transfer take?

COMO Maalifushi is reached by a 60-minute seaplane flight from Malé International Airport, landing directly on the resort's own lagoon. Guests travelling between COMO's two Maldivian properties can also take the 45-minute inter-resort seaplane connection to or from sister resort COMO Cocoa Island. IMJ coordinates the seaplane schedule as part of every booking.

Is COMO Maalifushi suitable for families with children?

Yes — the resort runs Play by COMO, a children's programme, alongside babysitting services and a dedicated games room. Several villa categories, including the Beach Suite and Two-Bedroom Beach Suite, are specifically positioned for families with small children, and multi-bedroom villas like the COMO Residence and Two-Bedroom Beach House suit larger family groups.

What dining options are available, and can guests eat in their villa?

COMO Maalifushi has three venues — Tai for Japanese sushi and sashimi in an overwater setting, Madi for international, Maldivian, Indonesian and Thai-influenced dishes plus the COMO Shambhala Kitchen menu, and Thila, the open-air pool and lounge bar for salads, pizzas and wood-baked seafood. In-room dining is available 24 hours a day for every villa category.

What's included in the villas?

Every villa and suite has its own private pool, air conditioning, a private bar with a Nespresso machine, daily bottled water and fresh fruit, a 50-inch IPTV, a Bluetooth soundbar, and COMO Shambhala bathroom amenities. Guests also get twice-daily maid service, in-room dining, and butler service on the higher villa categories.

What diving and water activities does the resort offer?

COMO Maalifushi runs a dedicated dive and watersports centre, with cavern and cave diving sites among its scuba offerings and a named surf break, Farms, in Thaa Atoll. Non-motorised watersports including surfing, snorkelling and sailing are available, alongside sunset and dolphin-watching cruises and fishing trips.

What sustainability programmes is the resort involved in?

Solar panels generate around 15% of the resort's energy use, and drinking water is bottled on-site in glass bottles rather than plastic. COMO Maalifushi partners with Reefscapers on an ongoing coral-regeneration project that guests can join, and shares whale shark sightings with Ecocea for its cataloguing research.
