How do we get to Centara Grand Island (Machchafushi)?
By seaplane — about 25 minutes from Velana International — arriving directly at the island; some flights land at a nearby platform instead, with a short onward dhoni or speedboat connection. IMJ confirms the exact routing as part of booking.
Are meal plans (BB/HB/FB) available?
This factsheet edition doesn't publish package meal plans. What it does confirm is six restaurants and bars plus 24-hour in-villa dining, with Reef running a breakfast, lunch and dinner buffet by the main pool. IMJ confirms which meal plan applies to a specific rate before booking.
Is this a family resort, or better suited to couples?

How good is the house reef?
