Recommended For

Families

The Dolphin Kids Club (ages 3–12) runs daily with trained multilingual staff, the July–August Family Summer Fun Fest pairs recreation with wellness programming, and the Two Bedroom Family Beach Villa and Presidential villa both give a group room to spread out.

Divers and active travellers

A 5-Star Diving Center with PADI-certified instructors, complimentary Hobie-cat, kayak and windsurf gear, and marina-jetty tennis and padel courts give this island more land- and water-sport depth than most all-inclusive Maldives properties.

Couples wanting an adults-only hush

Emerald Faarufushi isn't adults-only — the Dolphin Kids Club runs year-round and the resort leans into its seasonal family programming. Honeymooners chasing total quiet are better served at a dedicated adults-only Raa Atoll address.

Before you book

How do I get to Emerald Faarufushi, and how long does the transfer take?

Two routes run from Velana International Airport: a 45-minute seaplane, or a 40-minute domestic flight to Ifuru Domestic Airport followed by a 5-minute speedboat. The resort arranges same-day seaplane transfers for international arrivals landing by 15:30 Malé time, and for departures from 09:00 Malé time onward.

What meal plan does Emerald Faarufushi run?

A single Deluxe All-Inclusive formula covers every outlet — Aqua, Beach Club, Carnivorous, Mediterraneo and Le Asiatique restaurants, plus the Sunset Pool and Eclipse bars — rather than separate half-board or full-board tiers. The resort publishes a dedicated Deluxe All-Inclusive brochure detailing exactly what's covered; we'd confirm current inclusions with them before booking.

Is this a resort for families, or couples, or both?

Both. The resort isn't flagged adults-only, and the Dolphin Kids Club (ages 3–12) runs with trained multilingual staff, alongside a seasonal Family Summer Fun Fest each July and August pairing recreation with wellness programming. Couples have the overwater Mediterraneo restaurant, sunrise/sunset villa choice, and The Emerald Spa to themselves outside of that.

What's the house reef and diving like?

The resort's own description calls its surrounding lagoon 'one of the finest coral reefs in the Maldivian ecosystem.' The 5-Star Diving Center sits near the arrival jetty with PADI-certified instructors running courses and excursions, and cites turtles, spotted eagle rays, napoleon wrasse and reef sharks among the house-reef marine life. We'd verify current reef conditions with the resort before booking a dive-focused stay.

What's included in a villa stay, and what costs extra?

Every villa carries a flat-screen satellite TV, king-size bed, walk-in and open-air 'under the stars' showers, a bathtub and resort-wide Wi-Fi; 70 of the 80 villas add a private pool. Complimentary watersports cover Hobie-cat sailing, kayaking and windsurfing gear; motorised watersports like jet skis run at extra charge. The Deluxe All-Inclusive plan spans dining and drinks across every restaurant and bar on the island — spa treatment costs aren't detailed in the resort's published materials, so we'd confirm those directly before booking.

Why do some pages call this 'six villa categories' and others list seven?

The resort's overview copy says six categories, but its villa selector lists seven named pages. The Water Villas with Pool and Sunset Water Villas with Pool are identical in size and pool specification — framed by the resort as the same overwater jetty villa type, split by sunrise or sunset view preference rather than two distinct categories. We list all seven pages here since each is bookable and photographed separately.
