A beachfront villa with a private pool and sundeck day swing, 258 sqm across indoor and outdoor space, with the resort's Private Chef and Wine Guru available on request.
2 adults + 2 children, or 3 adults · Private pool · Beachfront
A Baa Atoll flagship built around its own house reef — the Golden Wall — with an underwater restaurant, an overwater observatory, and beach and overwater villas set inside the UNESCO Biosphere Reserve.

Anantara Kihavah sits on Huravalhi Island in Baa Atoll's UNESCO World Biosphere Reserve, 35 minutes by seaplane from Malé. Eleven villa and residence categories run from Beach Pool Villas to a 2,000-sqm Four Bedroom Residence, each with a private pool. Dining spans SEA, the world's first underwater wine cellar, and SKY, the Maldives' only overwater observatory — with the house reef and Hanifaru Bay carrying the water side of a stay.

The factsheet
Every fact we hold on Anantara Kihavah Maldives Villas (villas, dining, transfers) in one document.
Elements dive centre runs PADI and discover scuba diving over the Golden Wall's 30-metre drop, and Hanifaru Bay's seasonal manta gatherings sit a short excursion away — Kihavah earns its reputation reef-first.
The One Bedroom Family villas, sofa beds and twin kids' beds included, sit alongside Thiththi Boli Kids' Club and a kids' marine biology programme — built for a stay with children rather than around them.
SEA's twelve-seat underwater dining room and SKY's telescope-led evenings give a celebration its own theatre, and Dine by Design can move the table to a private sandbank if that suits better.

How do I get to Anantara Kihavah, and how long does it take?
It's a 35-minute seaplane journey from Velana International Airport, 125 km away. Guests use the resort's VIP Seaplane Lounge before the flight, with complimentary drinks and light refreshments, and departing guests are transferred to the airport at least 3 hours ahead of their scheduled international flight. The resort asks for arrival and departure flight details at least 4 days in advance to arrange combined seaplane transfers.
How many restaurants are there, and can we book across all of them?
Six fixed venues — SEA (underwater), FIRE, SPICE, SKY, MANZARU and PLATES — plus Dine by Design, a private dining programme with a personal chef and butler serving at a chosen location such as an isolated sandbank or a private yacht deck. Reservations can be made across all of them through the resort or via IMJ.
Is Kihavah suited to families, or is it adults-oriented?
It's family-oriented. Dedicated categories include the One Bedroom Family Over Water and Beach Pool Villas and the Two Bedroom Family Beach Pool Villa, alongside the Thiththi Boli Kids' Club and kids' marine biology programmes. Nothing in the resort's own materials indicates an adults-only policy.
How good is the house reef?
The house reef, known locally as the Golden Wall, sits steps from the villas and drops to 30 metres at its vertical section, where soft-coral colonies dominate. A 2022-2023 study documented 300 fish species and 130-plus coral varieties there, and the resort sits inside Baa Atoll's UNESCO World Biosphere Reserve, home to Hanifaru Bay's seasonal manta and whale shark gatherings from May to November.
What's included with every villa?
Every villa comes with a 24-hour Villa Host, a private pool, a sundeck with day swing and outdoor dining pavilion, an in-suite bar and wine chiller, high-speed Wi-Fi, bicycles, and access to a Private Chef and Wine Guru on request. The Residences add a fully equipped kitchen, private gym, and a private couples' spa treatment room.
Can we dive, or is it just snorkelling?
Both. The Elements dive and watersports centre runs PADI-certified and discover scuba diving alongside a resident marine biologist, and snorkelling is available straight off the house reef or on excursions to Hanifaru Bay during the May-to-November plankton season, when mantas and whale sharks feed there in numbers.
