Grand Park Kodhipparu, Maldives is a close-in North Malé Atoll resort built on Park Hotel Group's "connection, not excess" ethos — a 20-minute speedboat from Malé pairing a Top 10 award-winning house reef with a genuinely dual-audience programme for both honeymooners and families.

Before you book

How do we get to Grand Park Kodhipparu, and is the transfer optional?

Speedboat only — 20 minutes from Velana International Airport. The resort's own transfer is mandatory; third-party boat transfers aren't accepted for arrival or departure, though a private transfer can be arranged on request.

Is there a meal plan, and what does it cover?

Dining runs dine-around across the three restaurants — breakfast is always the buffet at The Edge; lunch is a choice of The Edge or Breeze (12:30–15:30); dinner is a choice of all three (19:00–22:30). Beverages are billed separately. The eight-experience "F&B Experiences" private-dining programme — sandbank breakfasts, floating Dhoni-tray dining, private beach dinners and more — sits outside the standard meal plan and is booked and paid for separately, from roughly US$99++ to US$530++ per couple depending on the experience.

Is this a resort for families, or better suited to a couples' escape?

Genuinely both. Little Explorer's Kids Club runs 07:00–21:00 with a kids' pool at the main infinity pool and kids' jet-skiing at the Marine Sports Center, and babysitting is available on request for ages 3–12 — but every villa category is single-bedroom except the two-bedroom Grand Residence, so a family of four is generally looking at two connecting villas or the Residence rather than one larger family suite.

What's the house reef and snorkelling like?

Strong — the resort's house reef ranked in the Top 10 Best House Reefs at the 2026 Travel + Leisure Asia Pacific Luxury Awards, with turtles, rays, reef sharks and reef fish visible straight from the water villas. The Reef Pool Water Villa category is built specifically around direct house-reef access for snorkelling off the deck.

Can children stay in the overwater villas?

The official site doesn't publish an age restriction or waiver requirement for the overwater categories here — all six villa categories list a 3-adult-plus-1-child (or, for the Grand Residence, 6-adult-plus-2-child) maximum occupancy. We'd still confirm current family policy directly with the resort before booking children into a water villa.

What's included in the room rate versus billed separately?

Every villa includes Wi-Fi, a minibar, coffee/tea facilities, an in-room safe, bathrobes, a bathtub and turndown service, plus the resort's "Lifestyle Host" arrival-to-departure concierge service — the Grand Residence adds dedicated butler service on top. Meals follow the dine-around plan above; the Marine Sports Center's motorised watersports, spa treatments, and the F&B private-dining programme are all billed separately.
