How do I get to Kagi Maldives, and how long does it take?
The seaplane covers Velana International Airport to Kagi in 15 minutes, followed by a 3–5 minute boat ride to the island; seaplanes fly daylight hours only, with typically a 2–3 hour wait in the operator's terminal lounge before departure. A 60-minute speedboat transfer is offered as an alternative, useful for flights that land outside the seaplane's operating window.
What's the luggage allowance on the seaplane?
20kg checked and 5kg hand baggage per guest; anything over that is charged extra by the seaplane operator, TMA. Arrival transfers are arranged for international flights landing 06:00–15:00hrs, and the last seaplane out of Kagi usually departs between 14:00 and 16:00hrs.
