A luxury boat transfer from Velana International Airport takes about 45 minutes, arriving directly at Patina's own island in the Fari Islands archipelago, North Malé Atoll. There's no seaplane leg or domestic flight to plan around.

Footprints, the resort's children's programme, includes a Fab Lab that 3D-prints recycled ocean plastic, a culinary studio, and free diving lessons and shark spotting for children, developed with solar specialist Swimsol. Couples, meanwhile, have James Turrell's Skyspace, FLOW's spa journeys, and Fari Marina Village's evening programme once the children's day winds down.
Patina's own materials don't describe a house reef directly. The resort's marine focus centres on a dedicated conservation team that propagates and protects coral around the island, plus free diving lessons and shark spotting offered to children through Footprints. Guests wanting a rated reef for daily snorkelling should ask us to confirm current conditions before booking.
