Gili Lankanfushi sits on its own island in one of North Malé Atoll's largest lagoons, twenty minutes by speedboat from the airport. All 45 villas are overwater, each with a private water garden and a semi-open-air walkway to a separate shower, and a personal Mr Friday host runs through the stay. Before you book

How do we get to Gili Lankanfushi from the airport?

By speedboat, twenty minutes from Velana International Airport to Lankanfushi Island in North Malé Atoll — the resort's only advertised transfer mode in this factsheet edition.

Are meal plans available, and what's included with dining?

The factsheet doesn't state which meal plans are offered or their inclusions, so IMJ confirms plan and inclusions with the resort at the time of booking. Dining draws on four venues — By the Sea, Over Water Bar, Kashiveli and the Organic Garden — plus destination dining and themed nights such as the Asian Street Market and Mediterranean Spice Souk.

Is Gili Lankanfushi suited to families, or is it adults-focused?

There's no dedicated kids' club — children are informally looked after by each villa's personal Mr Friday host, who runs special programmes to free up couple-time for parents. Family Villa and Family Villa with Pool (two en-suite bedrooms each) are built for multi-generation stays, and The Private Reserve sleeps a larger group across four bedrooms.

What's the house reef and snorkelling like?

The island sits in one of the Maldives' largest lagoons, with surroundings the factsheet describes as "teeming with marine life." Guided snorkelling is offered through the resort's watersports programme, and the resident Gili Veshi Marine Biology Shack runs the island's conservation and marine-experience activities; a PADI dive centre reaches Manta Point in a ten-minute boat ride for certified divers.

What's included with every villa?

Every villa except The Private Reserve comes with a personal Mr Friday host, a semi-open-air bathroom with a standalone bath and separate glass-walled shower, a bamboo bicycle per guest, a Bose sound system, a minibar and Nespresso machine, a mini wine chiller, an iPod with docking station and a chess table.

How is The Private Reserve different from the other villas?

At 1,700 sqm, it's marketed as the world's largest standalone overwater villa — two master bedrooms plus two further guest rooms, a private gymnasium and cinema, a natural coral pool, its own motorised transfer boats, and a wine cellar drawn from a 400-label list, arriving by private yacht rather than the shared jetty.
