Before you book

How good is the house reef?

The house reef, known locally as the Golden Wall, sits steps from the villas and drops to 30 metres at its vertical section, where soft-coral colonies dominate. A 2022-2023 study documented 300 fish species and 130-plus coral varieties there, and the resort sits inside Baa Atoll's UNESCO World Biosphere Reserve, home to Hanifaru Bay's seasonal manta and whale shark gatherings from May to November.

Can we dive, or is it just snorkelling?

Both. The Elements dive and watersports centre runs PADI-certified and discover scuba diving alongside a resident marine biologist, and snorkelling is available straight off the house reef or on excursions to Hanifaru Bay during the May-to-November plankton season, when mantas and whale sharks feed there in numbers.
