How do I get to NH Collection Maldives Havodda, and how long does the transfer take?
There's no seaplane option — the only route in is a 55-minute domestic flight from Velana International Airport (MLE) to Kaadedhdhoo Domestic Airport (KDM), followed by a 15-minute, 13 km speedboat crossing to the resort. The resort states a total transfer time of about 1 hour 15 minutes from Velana, and guests get complimentary access to a private lounge at the airport while waiting for the domestic flight. It's a longer, more remote journey than most central-atoll resorts — worth planning around rather than a quick add-on to a Malé stopover.
What's the house reef and diving like at Havodda?
The resort describes "an amazing house reef" directly around the island. Beyond that, Gaafu Dhaalu Atoll — described on-site as the world's second-largest atoll — holds 25+ dive spots with shark, tuna, barracuda and sailfish encounters, run through a third-party watersports and dive centre; the FAQ notes guests can work toward a scuba licence on-site.
