How do I get to Kagi Maldives, and how long does it take?
The seaplane covers Velana International Airport to Kagi in 15 minutes, followed by a 3–5 minute boat ride to the island; seaplanes fly daylight hours only, with typically a 2–3 hour wait in the operator's terminal lounge before departure. A 60-minute speedboat transfer is offered as an alternative, useful for flights that land outside the seaplane's operating window.
How good is the house reef?
The island is ringed by what Kagi calls a "360-degree house reef," reachable directly from the beach rather than by boat, and used for both diving and snorkelling. MSTS runs dive and snorkel sessions twice daily (08:00–12:00hrs and 14:00–18:00hrs), including nitrox and fluorescent night-diving courses for certified divers.
