How do I get to Hard Rock Hotel Maldives, and how long does the transfer take?
It's a 20-minute speedboat ride from Velana International Airport. On the island, a resort shuttle buggy service covers ground transfers, and a 500-metre footbridge connects to The Marina @ CROSSROADS. Guests arriving by private boat can use the resort's complimentary berthing facilities at CROSSROADS Maldives, with 96 hours' advance notice required.
What meal plans are available?
Five plans run from Half Board (US$95++ per person, dinner only) through Full Board (US$160++, lunch and dinner), Full Board Plus (US$185++, plus non-alcoholic beverages) and All Inclusive (US$210++, plus standard alcoholic beverages) up to Premium All Inclusive (US$299++, plus premium beverages and 30% off in-villa dining and spa). Is this a good resort for families, and what about teenagers?
Roxity Kids Club takes ages 3–11 (potty trained), daily 10:00–18:00, alongside a separate Teen Club for ages 12–17 that runs as an adult-free zone on the same schedule. Babysitting is available on request for infants from 7 months, at US$30 an hour. Children 12 and under stay free and eat free from the kids' menu, and the two-bedroom Silver Family Pool Suite and Silver Family Suite are built for exactly this group.
What's the house reef and snorkelling like?
The official site doesn't rate the house reef directly. Complimentary snorkelling equipment is provided, PADI 5-star courses and excursions run through Ocean Group for all levels, and five named surf breaks — Jailbreaks, Honky's, Sultans, Ninja's and Chickens — are reachable nearby. Hard Rock Cafe Maldives, a short walk across the footbridge at The Marina @ CROSSROADS, runs live band residencies — DEVIATE on Monday, Wednesday and Friday, and local band Equatic Vibe every Sunday — open until 00:30. On-property, the weekly Sundown Ritual gathers guests at Octagon Garden at 17:45 for complimentary drinks and snacks.
