How do we get to Miriandhoo, and how long does it take?
Most guests take the seaplane from Velana International Airport, a flight of about 30 minutes. The alternative is a 25-minute domestic flight to Dharavandhoo Airport in Baa Atoll followed by a short speedboat crossing — a useful option when seaplane operating hours don't suit a late arrival.
Is there a house reef, or do we need to book an excursion to see marine life?
The island sits inside Baa Atoll's UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, an area with more than 250 recorded coral species, and snorkelling is listed among the resort's own on-site activities. For manta rays specifically, Hanifaru Bay — one of the world's largest manta gathering sites — is about 18km away and reached by boat.
What's available for children?
