Offshore trolling, jigging and popping for marlin, tuna, sailfish and dorado — a different boat and crew from the sunset hand-reel trip.

A hands-on cooking class or mixology session led by one of the resort's own chefs.

Breakfast served on a floating tray in the villa's own pool, with nothing scheduled after it.

Island-Hopping Excursion
Afternoon · for two, all ages
A multi-stop boat trip visiting several islands, sandbanks or reef sites in one outing, rather than a single-destination picnic or cruise.

Kayak, stand-up paddleboard, sailing dinghy, windsurfing and kitesurfing — the wind- and paddle-powered end of the watersports centre, bundled as one booking.

The resort's own kids' club — supervised, age-segmented crafts, sports, water play and themed activities, running under dozens of different in-house names.
Manta Ray & Whale Shark Encounter
Morning · for two, all ages, restorative
A guided snorkel or speedboat trip to a seasonal manta ray or whale shark aggregation site, mainly Hanifaru Bay and South Ari Atoll, from resorts close enough to reach it.

Afternoon · for two, all ages
Jet ski, seabob, flyboard, parasail and wakeboard, rented or instructed through the resort's own watersports centre.

A guided boat or snorkel trip built around one resident species — nurse sharks, sea turtles or reef sharks — rather than a general reef swim.
Learn to Dive (PADI/SSI Certification)
Morning · for two, all ages
A PADI or SSI dive centre running everything from a first discover-scuba dive to full certification, with Nitrox, night diving and DPV add-ons at the larger operations.

Complimentary or bookable yoga and meditation at sunrise or sunset, beachfront and often led by the resort's own resident yogi.
Sustainability, Garden & Behind-the-Scenes Tour
Morning · all ages, restorative
A guided tour of the resort's own sustainability operations — organic or hydroponic gardens, eco-centres, naturalist-led nature walks.
Weddings & Vow Renewals
Afternoon · for two
A symbolic beach or sandbank wedding, destination wedding or vow-renewal ceremony, arranged through the resort's own wedding planner or celebration desk.
Before you book
How do we get to NH Maldives Kuda Rah Resort?
The primary route is a 25-minute seaplane flight from Velana International Airport, running daily from sunrise to sunset, weather permitting. A resort representative meets guests at the airport — look for the NH Maldives Kuda Rah Resort signboard. There's also an alternative route for days the seaplane isn't flying: a 30-minute domestic flight to Maamigili Airport in South Ari Atoll, followed by a 20-minute speedboat.
What's the reef and diving like?
The island has its own house reef, described on-site as teeming with colourful fish, turtles and the occasional reef shark. The dive centre runs packages from 8 to 18 dives plus full PADI certification courses, inside a Marine Protected Area that sees whale sharks year-round (peak August–November) and manta rays year-round (peak September–May, especially after February), alongside Hawksbill and Green Sea Turtles — Kahambu Thila is cited as a top viewing spot.
What's the spa and fitness offering?
The Spa is Balinese-inspired, with three treatment rooms (each with a private steam and Jacuzzi), a dedicated pedicure and manicure room, and separate changing rooms, open 10:00 to 20:00. Signature treatments include the Traditional Healing Ritual (Balinese massage plus coconut body scrub) and the Spa Fusion Massage. Fitness runs separately: a 24-hour gym plus a standing programme of yoga and water aerobics led by a resident instructor.
