Families

Kids' club from age three, a default dinner table at Koamas, and a children's pool in the Main Area mix — Kuredu is built for a family that wants more scheduled activity than downtime.

Divers and watersports groups

A 5-star PADI centre with its own hyperbaric chamber and a full watersports rental fleet give a diving-focused group enough to fill a week without repeating a boat trip.

Couples wanting adult space inside a bigger resort

Sangu Resort's 15-plus villas, restaurant, bar, and wine cellar sit apart from the Main Area's family energy — the island's answer for a couple who still wants Kuredu's activity list within reach.

Before you book

How do we get from Malé to Kuredu, and how long does it take?

Two routes: a 40-minute seaplane direct from Malé, or a 35-minute scheduled domestic flight to Madivaru Airport followed by a speedboat transfer. Kuredu's own app handles pre-arrival check-in, and the air-conditioned Araam Lounge covers the wait at either end. IMJ books whichever route suits the arriving flight times best.

What's the difference between the Main Area, O Resort, and Sangu Resort?

They're three sub-resorts on one island, each with its own reception and buffet restaurant: the Main Area takes all ages, O Resort is 12 and over, and Sangu Resort is 15 and over with its own infinity pool and wine cellar. Which one a villa belongs to decides which buffet restaurant and pool a guest defaults to.

Which meal plan comes with which villa?

The Garden Bungalow is Kuredu's only Bed & Breakfast-plan category; every other villa's buffet restaurant access is set by its dining tier — Bonthi, Koamas, O Restaurant, or Sangu Restaurant. An All-Inclusive Plus plan is also available, bundling a Sunset Cruise, a spa discount, and 50% off food and drink add-ons. IMJ confirms the exact plan against the villa category before booking.

Does Kuredu work for families with young children?

Max's Mermaids & Pirates Kids' Club takes ages 3 to 12, and Koamas Restaurant is the default table for any party travelling with under-12s. The Main Area itself is all-ages, though the O Resort (12+) and Sangu Resort (15+) sections of the island are not — worth knowing before choosing a villa category as a family.

What diving and watersports does Kuredu offer?

Prodivers Scuba Centre is a full 5-star PADI training centre with an on-site hyperbaric chamber, running guided diving and snorkelling boat trips alongside equipment sales and rental. The MSTS Watersports Centre covers parasailing, water-skiing, wakeboarding, kayaks, and speedboat excursions, and the island also has a six-hole pitch-and-putt course with a driving range.

Can we fly a drone on the island?

Only from marked areas, and only with prior agreement and permission from the main reception — Kuredu asks guests to check in before flying rather than assuming it's allowed anywhere on the island.
