Villas at Bandos Maldives

A couple sharing a fruit plate and wine at a table on the veranda of a Standard Beachfront Room, garden visible through the glass doors

Standard Beachfront Room

The entry category and one of two built in a traditional, rustic style — a veranda a few steps back from the beach, fitted to the resort's standard amenity list.

2 adults + 1 child, or 3 adults · No private pool · Beachfront

The wood-and-thatch exterior of a Garden Villa at Bandos, with a porch swing and armchairs set among palm trees

Garden Villa

Raised on stilts at the centre of the resort, the closest villa category to the main pool — traditional in style, like the Standard Beachfront Rooms.

2 adults + 1 child, or 3 adults · No private pool — steps from the main pool · Garden, on stilts near the pool

A bathtub with rubber ducks floating in it inside a Deluxe Beachfront Room's bathroom, a robe hanging on the door

Deluxe Beachfront Room

A larger beachfront room with interconnecting-unit options, so two rooms can be booked side by side for a family that wants separation without distance.

2 adults + 2 children, or 3 adults + 1 child · No private pool · Beachfront, interconnecting units available

An open-air garden bathroom in a Superior Villa, with a freestanding tub scattered with red petals and a glass shower beyond

Superior Villa

The same footprint as the entry categories, upgraded with a bathtub and shaving mirror — a step up in fit-out rather than space.

2 adults + 1 child, or 3 adults · No private pool · Resort grounds

Beach Villa

Beachfront, the same size as the Superior Villa, and finished with the amenities that come at this tier.

2 adults + 1 child, or 3 adults · No private pool · Beachfront

The upper-level bedroom of a Premium Beach Villa, twin daybeds facing a private balcony over the trees toward the sea

Premium Beach Villa

Duplex-configured and considerably larger than the other beach categories, with a jetted tub and open-air bathroom — the resort's biggest room short of the Beach Pool Villa.

2 adults + 2 children, or 3 adults + 1 child · No private pool · Beachfront, duplex

Aerial view of a guest floating in the Beach Pool Villa's private plunge pool, palm trees framing the beachfront deck

Beach Pool Villa

One villa only, and the resort's most exclusive category — a private plunge pool and its own cabana sundeck on the beach.

2 adults, or 2 adults + 1 child · Private plunge pool · Beachfront, cabana sundeck

A guest swimming in the private plunge pool of a Sunset Water Villa, sun loungers and open ocean beyond the deck rail

Sunset Water Villa with Pool

The only overwater category at Bandos, each of the six with a private plunge pool on the deck, facing the sunset side of the island.

2 adults + 1 child, or 3 adults · Private plunge pool · Overwater

Before you book

Which villa category should we book?

It depends on the party. Couples wanting a private pool have exactly two options — the single Beach Pool Villa or one of six overwater Sunset Water Villas with Pool. Families tend toward the Deluxe Beachfront Room's interconnecting units or the larger, duplex Premium Beach Villa. The Standard Beachfront Room and Garden Villa are the simplest, most traditional categories.
